Amar Pardesi

Born on the coast of Tanzania, raised in England, and now residing in New York, A.S. Pardesi’s journey has been as varied and vibrant as the stories he tells. Amar holds a Master’s degree in Communication and brings this expertise into his writing, weaving narratives that are both informative and deeply personal. He’s the acclaimed author of Brides and Customs Around the World (2017), a richly illustrated exploration of bridal traditions across continents, and I Want to Go Home (2021), a heartfelt novella delving into the world of Alzheimer’s.

When not writing, Amar is dedicated to preserving the art of phulkari (the intricate “work of flowers”), creating cultural pieces that reflect his roots and passion for art. He lives in New York with his wife, Kiran, and their loyal dog, Raffi.
